Today, 13 years ago, my journey as a kpop fan started 😱 Time sure flies! It feels like it was just yesterday 😱 I had listened to kpop a little bit already. A few songs by a group called F.CUZ, but i never really got into kpop then. It wasn't until i decided to share one of their songs in a post on my facebook profile, on this day, 13 years ago when someone gave me the link to BEAST's Bad Girl in the comment section of that facebook post and i fell absolutely head over heels in love ❤❤❤❤❤❤ My love for other groups followed, like 4Minute and SHINee etc, and to this day i still love kpop. Things have changed a lot since back then and i can't say that i don't miss the good old kpop days tho.

Through ups and downs, I've been a fan of Hyuna for over a decade, and I can see that this seems to be the hardest period of her public life so far. Those who follow Hyuna have seen her perform while sick, be hospitalized during 4Minute's crucial comeback in 2013, return to the stage while still recovering, go through a crisis with the end of her group which was displayed publicly through her reality show, perform disoriented after the revelation of her relationship with Dawn during Triple H's last comeback, and endure hate from all sides for various reasons. But I don't believe anyone has seen her as she appears now. At least, I haven't. And it breaks my heart.

We don't know her private life, her feelings, or her motivations for acting so differently from what was expected of her. Therefore, I wish that she continues to be the strong woman she has always been and that her choices always bring her well-being, light, and happiness. I can't ask everyone to understand her or change their opinion, but please send positive vibes to the one you always admired, who provided you with so many happy moments in whatever way she could. She's still the same, don't forget that.

Editing: To be honest, I didn't wrote this post to defend Hyuna - it's not my intention. My point was to summarize her events, but I felt the need to convey in some way the feelings I have as someone who had her as some kind of role model for so long. Despite all the justified words and actions around the world, I have a heavy feeling seeing her recently, and all I can do, as a fellow human being, is to wish her good things so she stays strong.

Now, when we speak about "dating scandals" in the realms of k-pop, it's usually tongue in cheek and not a real scandal. In this case, it might actually be scandalous for real. Former Cube employees Hyuna and Junhyung have confirmed to be dating. Not the first public relationship for either, but why is this one gathering so much backlash? For that, we have to go back to the year 2019...

Seungri and his shady friends owned a club called "Burning Sun" where all kinds of illegal things were happening (including drug use, human trafficking, rape, etc.). He and others involved were prosecuted on charges, including prostitution mediation, sharing illegally filmed content (molka), and embezzlement. Junhyung was amongst those friends involved, he admitted to watching illegal videos (molka) sent to him by Jung Joon Young (who went to prison for his crimes like Seungri). He left his group Beast/Highlight and only recently made his return to the entertainment industry.

Fast forward, Hyuna (who's made a name for herself as a feminist) is now dating this POS and wants her fans to "Please view us prettily." Of course many fans are disappointed and don't understand why she would date someone who allegedly mistreated ex-girlfriends and watched molka for fun. It doesn't align with her values nor with her message of female empowerment. She also shared how much she was sexualized and disrespected by the entertainment industry (true), so to throw those values away and date a guy like him... is weird to say the least. I don't know if they're a real couple or if this is PR for upcoming music, either way, I don't give a s#t. Good luck you two!
